My Residency on the Cruise Tallinn to Stockholm

Updated: Nov 27, 2019

The most recent residency was on the Tallink cruise line, a huge ship that goes from Tallinn in Estonia to Stockholm in Sweden.

I was on there for 2 weeks, going from port to port.

Before I started this residency, I must say, I was pretty apprehensive. I’d never been on a ship like this before and I didn’t know how well I’d deal with the potential seasickness.

Luckily I got away with it and I didn’t need a sick bucket to be with me on stage!

I sang from 5pm - 12pm, 7 days a week. This was challenging at first but I quickly adjusted to the workload.

There were mainly Swedish and Estonian guests on the ship. They seemed to love a lot of classic rock and to my delight, I found myself singing a lot of songs from The Beatles, Queen and all the other music legends most of the days, a challenging standard to live up to!

When we arrived at port, we were able to wander for a few hours. I fell in love with both cities but Tallinn held a special place in my heart. Its old town was right up my street with its Medieval, gothic aesthetic.

Definitely somewhere I will return to as I hear the Honey beer is a must-try!
